About Us

The Angle Vale Football Club was re-established in 1998, and Historical records show that Angle Vale had a football team in local competitions dating back prior to World War II. We are a young, vibrant club supporting local community players and families, with a new facility to rival many clubs within the Northern area.

Located within the Angle Vale Sports and Community Association complex on Fradd Rd, Angle Vale, the club continues to attract exposure and interest. For a significant number of new families relocating into the northern area, the Angle Vale Football Club continues to be a popular option offering a wide range of opportunities for playing football.

On Australia Day 2016, we were honored to receive the City of Playfords Australia Day Award for Sports Club of the Year

Our men's senior sides are already preparing for the 2018 season and our team goal is to duplicate the performances that led us to a Grand Final in 2013 and to grow with envious strength both on the field and in the community. Our Senior Men's team plays in the Adelaide Plains League (APFL).

2018 continues the exciting inclusion of Women’s Football to the Angle Vale Football Club as our Senior Women work to better their 2015 result which saw them play in the grand final in their first year, unfortunately losing by a point in the last 30 seconds.  The club will a second womens team for the 2018 Season and we will continue to prepare for an U16 Girls team (SANFL) Junior Girls comp, and an U18 Girls Team (SAWFL) comp. Our Senior Women's and Under 18's teams play in the South Australian Women's Football League SAWFL, and the Under 16's girls team in the SANFL Juniors Competition.

Our Junior competition is one of the strongest in the northern areas. Angle Vale has experienced the largest growth in junior numbers of the last three years and caters for Under 6’s to Under 17’s across both the South Australian National Football League Juniors (SANFL Juniors)  and the Adelaide Plains League (APFL).

AVFC is a rapidly expanding club of over 400 players and would love you to be part of our success. We have a vision to be one of the most successful clubs in the north and to build a strong sense of community.
